The Shire of Smithwick in the Kingdom of The East is a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA), a not-for-profit educational organization which studies the Middle Ages by recreating the pastimes and crafts of the period.

Consisting of all of Aroostook County and part of Washington County in the state of Maine, we are a group that enjoys historical medieval reenactment. We have a wide range of talented people from musicians to smiths.

Our group is open to all newcomers, and here history isn’t just studied, it is practiced. Garb is not required right away; we will work with you to create your perfect persona. Please check our calendar page and join us for one of our meetings for some fun!
